Painted a 1982 t-14. Boat had previously been painted camo. Used "duck boat drab" gallon lasted the entire project, still have some left over. Did 2 light coats on bottom and top. Coverage was great. I believe you don't need primer if painting over paint, I did spray gray automotive aluminum primer over bare metal surfaces. Finish is pretty good, it scratches, just like any other paint. But I've dropped wrenches a foot above the floor and it hasent chipped. A week after application I gave the boat a bath, no paint peel like some people mentioned when they dunked boat in water. Water sat inside boat for 2 days, surface still stayed true. Took boat out 2 times on river, paint holds up. Paint has left some spots where heavy traffic or use is... to be expected. Rolls on beautiful, brushes will leave marks if not careful. Great deal for a old boat in need of a makeover.
cons- dnr stickers do not stick to this paint well. My fault on not affording a paint sprayer for glass smooth surface.
